Kāinga Ora appoints Chief Customer and Operating Officer

Juanita Ryan - Chief Customer and Operating Officer (CCOO)

The CCOO leads the organisation’s Customer and Operations Group, bringing together tenancy management, operational asset management and maintenance functions to support consistent service delivery across Aotearoa New Zealand.

Juanita brings a wealth of frontline and operational leadership experience from her time at the Department of Corrections – Ara Poutama, where she is currently Deputy Chief Executive, Communities, Partnerships and Pathways. She has held several DCE roles with the organisation since 2019.

Juanita joins Kāinga Ora at an important time as it continues to strengthen its delivery for customers and progresses its transformation. She was selected following a robust recruitment process for her strong leadership and proven ability to deliver outcomes at scale.

Juanita joins Kāinga Ora on Monday 3 August 2026.
